Rentals

Taonga Glass is a facility where you can rent out demonstrations for school groups, private parties like birthdays or wedding receptions or other special occasions. Artists and glass students and hobbyists also rent the glass making facility to produce their own work. Read below for more information.

Artist Studio Rentals:

Cold Glass Studio:
$20 per hour
Got to do the daily grind? Use our state of the art glass polishing facility! Here one has access to a wide variety diamonds to dress your glass; 24 in lapidary wheels for flattening, a belt sander for polishing or beveling, a lathe for grinding or intricate design cutting, saw for slabbing, drill press for being holy, and full range of hand tools to dress all your needs with the glass! Take blown and sculpted glass, stained glass, or fused glass to the next level!
Cold shop includes use of all wet tools and grinding wheels, belts, and bits. Cerium oxide Super Ox polishing compound available for purchase by the half pound at going rate at his glassworks plus a $10 shipping and handling fee.

Hot Shop:
Starts at $45 per hour
This rental includes 10lbs Crystal per hour, kiln space, main glory hole, pipe warmer, small color oven, powder booth, bench torch, bench, pipes and punties, as well as studio hand tools. For those in need, color, garage, oxygen propane hot torches, larger color oven, and extra annealing space available for extra costs. Costs based on project loads for studio upgrades.
Garage use $15 per hour
Oxygen Propane Hot Torch $10per hour for small use of half an Oxygen bottle an 8 hour day or $75per bottle for heavy users.
Bit Hole $10 per hour to be used only with studio rental.
Long annealing cycles in main oven $60 per day

Fusing Kiln:
$40/day cycle
Use our Paragon Janus 16 for a day to melt your glass dreams! From jewelry to windows the annealer walls are the limits!

Artist Fabrication Space:
$50 per day, $500 per month
Taonga Glass offers fabrication space for artists. This common area space is open for artists to create work away from home (glass, metal, or wood). This is an active workspace for people to spread out when space is available and clean up before they are done. Monthly renters have access to storage space on loft at $200 per standard pallet footprint and must give way to main studio renters as well as Taonga Glass and Edward Clark’s production schedules. These renters have limited access to studio tools. Monthly renters get a 10% discount on glass studio rentals.

Event Demonstrations:

School demonstrations:
$125 per hour
School receives the demonstration piece allowing us to show it on special events/exhibits.
Host a class of kids for the day. Make their school mascot, or collaborate a few kids drawings into a sculpture, let the kids lead the way. This program is offered for schools to visit the studio, learn about glass, science, history, and how we make things with this molten liquid.

Host a Private Event:
$250 per hour
Included is a gift made during demonstrations.
Have a celebration your looking to heat up? A unique site to host that next Birthday party, Bachelorette party, Wedding event, Art appreciation groups, Office Party, Holiday Party, or any type of private event. During these event rentals our glass crew will demonstrate glass, creating designs fitting to the occasion. You’re party is welcome to bring food and drinks as we create the life of the party from the hot fires!
